about
Paradox Lust is about facing our unknown future,
as we would, with the care and curiosity of approaching a brand new lover.
A play on the words 'paradise lost', Paradox Lust is the inverse.
The idea that we crave searching out new troubles,
precisely because we live in an Eden-like epoch,
where every imaginable whim is just a click away.
This ballad is an ode to falling in love with the Universe,
and embracing your fate no matter where it takes you.
lyrics
I've been training since I was a boy
To avoid all my favorite poisons
But the way you share with us is so generous
That I just can't seem to resist
You got me feeling paradox lust
Feels like the unknown
Is the only friend that we can trust
Is life becoming humdrum?
I think I preferred it when it was a conundrum
Is that your real persona,
Or just someone that you run from?
You got me feeling paradox lust
Feels like the unknown
Is the only friend that we can trust
Does everything that brings us pleasure
End up causing someone pain?
Do you see a light at the end of the tunnel
Or is that an oncoming train?
You got me feeling paradox lust
Feels like the unknown
Is the only friend that we can trust
Yeah, you've got me feeling paradox lust
Feels like the unknown
Is the only friend that we can trust
